After a record-setting Western United Cup in 2023, the girls-only football tournament will head back to Ballarat to reach new targets in 2024.
The tournament is pencilled in for Friday 4 October through to Sunday 6 October at Ballarat Regional Soccer Facility, marking the third edition of the ever-growing competition.
Open for girls of all experience levels from Under 8’s to Under 21’s, the Western United Cup is once again supported by Ballarat City Council and the State Government of Victoria, as well as Australian Football Skool.
The tournament is open to club teams, school teams and groups that simply want to come together to compete in a fun, fast-paced competition with their friends.

Last year, the Western United Cup saw almost twice as many participants as the first edition in 2022 and the Club will be out to shatter that total of 500 young players.
Western United General Manager Community Development and Partnerships Aylin Bagdadi shared her delight at opening registrations for the 2024 tournament.
“The Western United Cup has been an incredible success in our first two years and we are looking forward to making it even bigger in 2024,” she said.
“Our commitment to contributing to the growth of women’s football is of increasing significance to us and we are extremely proud to be able to offer an opportunity for girls from across the state to come together, enjoy playing football with their friends and have a fantastic experience.
“We are very thankful for all of the support from Ballarat City Council and the State Government of Victoria in sharing our ambition to make this a staple on the football calendar.
“Registrations are open and we are planning for this to be the biggest and best version yet. We can’t wait to see everyone in Ballarat in October.”
